Lok in the past few months had an amazing transformation in terms of growth, performance and addition of new features. One of the new features recently introduced is ‘Vault’; a tool integrated into Lok that can securely store your passwords and notes, fully encrypted. It can store this data securely on the cloud to synchronize it with multiple devices.

Now that many of us are working from home or outside the office, the number of passwords and accounts we have to handle has increased. One could argue that the most secure way of storing passwords is to just memorize them – but most of us are unable to remember all of our username/password combinations. For that, we can rely on password managers like Vault, which offers secure storage for all your complicated passwords that are hard to remember.

It is often said that no computer program is bug-free. The truth is that no matter how secure the software is, there is always a vulnerability or a loophole ready to be found. The question is what to do when it becomes known that your password manager has a flaw. If you’re using Vault, even if an unauthorized person accessed the data stored within, you will still be fine – because as all the data stored in the Vault is encrypted, without the key unauthorized users will only see useless/garbled text. Vault uses military-grade encryption and because of its exceptional strength, it would take a lifetime to crack the cipher.

Also, certain risks need to be taken into consideration when using a password manager. You have probably heard about the phrase “keeping your eggs in one basket”; that is what you are doing with a password manager. This can be a serious issue if your password manager stores data without encryption and it’s compromised in a breach. Luckily, Lok’s Vault is fully secured with encryption and has the ability to store passwords both locally on your phone as well as on the cloud. This adds an extra layer of convenience to go along with the security we provide because if you lose access to your phone you can still recover all the passwords from the cloud.

Password managers give you the ease of creating and storing stronger passwords, which makes your online existence less vulnerable to cyberattacks. With Vault, you can store all of your passwords safely and securely within the Lok ecosystem.
